Monthly Update: God is doing Amazing Things

A quote from Pastor Peter Sr "God is doing amazing things. God is ministering in a very special way."

Covid is still a very big problem for our friends in Honduras. Many people are still not working. The number of positive cases remains high. Peter said that the vaccine is not coming to Honduras anytime soon. 80% of the people who should get vaccinated won't be until mid to late this year. The US along with the WHO are working on this problem.

The church, Linaje Escogido La Villa is once again having in person church services. Pastor Peter Sr tells that more people are coming back and the services are very meaningful. The church is also helping build a new home for one of the members who lost her home with the hurricanes. Milk and Honey has some funds from generous donations to help with the expenses.

The Feeding Centers are still delivering necessary food and supplies to the families in need in La Villa, San Nicolas, and El Varillal twice a month. Some have been coming in to pick up the bags. They are hoping that pretty soon, they will be able to cook the meals at the Feeding Center and people can come in to pick up the hot meals or have them delivered.

The photos are of new medical equipment that were purchased with a donation from an anonymous donor. Dr. Gisella is so grateful. A new exam bed, oxygen tank, scale, etc were given to the clinic. Milk & Honey continues to provide money each month for medication and Covid testing. Dr. Gisella did find a more inexpensive Ultra Sound machine that she really needed. If you would like to help contribute toward this purchase, please use the link below to go to the website to donate, or send a check to the address below.

Three girls graduated from HS last year from our scholarship students. They all have enrolled in the University to continue their schooling. The Board has added 3 more students from San Nicolas and also 2 more from El Varillal. All of the students tried their hardest to complete their studies last year while being all online. It is difficult for them due to poor cell phones and coverage. But, everyone did an amazing job. Thank you to Cesar Barahona who oversees the Scholarship students. If you are interested in sponsoring one of our scholarship students, please let us know! It is only $450/year for HS students!!

And so with all of the Covid related issues, the continuing clean-up from the hurricanes, the economy being bad, etc There is still hope. Pastor Peter is full of faith that God is providing and will continue to provide their needs.

Our Milk and Honey Missions Board would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. Without your generous giving, we could not provide for the necessary needs of our beloved friends in Honduras.
